MOLDS USED: Grandma/Grandpa by Parker Levi (House of Caron) torso's. Doreen Sinnet hands.
Paint shoes with black acrylic paint, spray with gloss acrylic spray.
Wrap torso with elastic wrap to desired shape
Step 1Assemble doll. For men, we use the assembly shown which includes hips to fill out pants line.  The pipecleaner (sculpture <G>) shown in first photo is from two pipecleaners twisted together, bent in U shape and then twisted as shown.

Step 2. Cut out dickey from white cotton material.  Since this is a 'faux' front, you simply need to make sure that it lies smoothly.  You will be then decorating as desired (with collar, bow tie and buttons -- *HINT* use pearl sequin centers! Step 3.  Cut out two pants pieces from black cotton material.  Turn under very bottom hem, glue to wrong side.  Next sew from hem to crotch and slide up doll's leg.  Then use a running stitch to stitch to doll.

Step 4.  Add second leg.  Repeat directions in step 3, overlapping 'zipper' seam and sew on.  I like doing one leg at a time to get the pleats to lay smoothly.  Cover up raw edge with nice black cummerbund. Step 5.  Decorate shirt with collar (made from rectangle of white material, folded around neck) and a silver bow tie (made from silk ribbon).  After jacket is on, glue on your buttons.  Now add arms.

Step 6.  Cut out jacket pattern, sew seams from hem to wrist.  Glue under all raw edges.  Add tiny white cuff to doll arms to simulate shirt.  Cut out rectangle for collar, and two triangles for lapels.  Edge these lapels with tiny trim to make it look formal.  Slide on doll, and glue or sew on.

WIGGING...his hair was simple.  I simply did a basic wig outline with glue, let dry a bit, and then sprinkled white flocking on.

Step 7.  Positioning tricks.  I glued  Elvira onto the doll stand (with her train covering most of it up).  After that I intertwined their arms and glued his feet to HER stand, making it virtually unnoticable...but oh so cozy!  If you need to put a drop of glue along their front torso's to get them to stay, you can wrap with string to dry in position.

Kit comes with pattern, all materials, dolls and expanded direction sheet.
