When I
have accessories for my dolls that I don't want to have crushed. I use
a bag that I fill with air. I guess you can always do the same with the
doll itself. Maybe putting a bit of silk paper underneath the skirt, and
then placing it in the bag.
Either way no matter how well you pack it if the carrier you are using
decide to use your package for soccer practice... you're out of luck
LOL!

Shipping dolls....I gently stuff the skirt with tissue paper (rolled
up), wrap the doll in BIG hole bubble wrap, put in a smaller box. Then
put that one into a bigger box with peanuts around it. Sometimes I put a
film container over head so it protects but doesn't FLATTEN hair.

When
shipping a dolls with full skirt I put bubble wrap under skirt so it
keeps full and then bubble wrap all around and then fill box with the
Styrofoam peanuts to keep light and airy and only slightly moveable
during shipping.. A friend in dolls

I ship
many dolls that have full dresses. I fill their skirts with white tissue
paper...be generous, then cover gently with a large enough clear plastic
bag. Then I cushion her/him in soft packaging (Styrofoam popcorn),
making sure it is well cushioned. The tissue paper allows the dress to
stay full, and the cushion prevents it from being free to shift in
shipping.
